The objectives of the activity are to give all S.3 students a chance to have a taste on appreciating a film. Students have to learn how to express their opinions about a movie through writing up a short film review.
The movie “Matilda” was showed to the students during the OLE session. Afterwards, teachers introduced the basics of appreciating a movie to the students. Teachers also held discussions with students so as to make sure students understand the message from the movie.
With the guidance of the English teachers, students could understand the movie and were able to complete a short writing task.
