Thomas Yeung from class 4A took part in the Solo Verse Speaking section of the 67th Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival, reciting a section of the poem Haunted Houses, by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. After practising for hours both in school and at home, Thomas’ delivery of the poem delighted not only the adjudicator but also the audience. Mrs Carol Lamont praised Thomas’ performance, noting that “this was well shared with the audience” and that he “spoke meaningfully and it was a confident work clearly delivered” with a “firm ending”.
